Philosophy
Nature Education Cooperative empowers learners to access their compassion, curiosity, and passions. Independent education means choosing to master academic and real-life skills through a dynamic and diverse selection of educational experiences. Our curriculum utilizes inquiry-based learning which inspires confidence, cooperation, and communication. We value different perspectives and support families to find joy and creativity in homeschooling while encouraging connective learning.

Children who choose to educate independently as a family and their community have the honor of curating their experiences, materials, and environmental exposure. Our nature-based curriculum includes gardening, nature exploration, healthy plant-based meals, holistic healing, and nature art. We believe that by knowing nature’s ways, we can learn more about who we are and the world around us.
We hope our enriching nature-based curriculum fosters creativity, promotes independent thinking, and supports proactive mindfulness that supports the well-being of your children, family, and community.
Team

A collection of community leaders teamed up to share liberated education with homeschoolers.
Passionate about nature, environmental sustainability, creative thinking, and sharing history from a decolonized perspective, we set out to deliver an empowering movement of learning.
After eight years of in person classes, we proudly launched our online curriculum.
